The shop/ room
box that houses the bake shop was purchased at Victoria
Miniland in British Columbia.
Inserted on the roof of this roombox
is a large piece of plexiglass.
I love this feature because it eliminates
the need for dollhouse lights.
Not that I don`t like dollhouse lighting,
but it`s fiddley to install,
easy to break and, on my budget, fairly expensive.
The
plexiglass lets in the natural light, as well you can mount regular lights
above the shops
.I fell in love
with these room boxes, they are so easy to assemble.
It's very nice for
me to be able to buy from a Canadian doll house shop.

The tables and chairs are
made from a Chrysnbon
Kit.
The customer at this table is enjoying tea and tarts and cookies, it
looks as if she is going to be there for a while.
I don't normally put dolls into any dollhouse size buildings, preferring to leave the inhabitants to the viewers imagination.
I had made these two ladies some years ago, but
never used them. They were getting tired of living in a shoe box so
I let them occupy the Bake Shop.
They seem to like their new place.

.All of the baked
goods are made from are made from polymer clay.
Miniature food is by
far my favourite thing to make. I don't mind baking real pies and cakes,
but everybody just eats 'em !!! Clay goodies last much longer
